I am looking for people to help on a course i am holding from august 29 to September 5. It is a course to enable committed young people to become social entrepreneurs. They come with a project they want to set up and we give them the theoretical and practical tools to do this. But what makes our course special and very different from others is that as important as the teaching is the daily time devoted to ecological, reconstruction and gardening projects and to encouraging participants to change their relationship with themselves, others and our planet earth (through reflection, discussion, exercises, meditation etc).
We live as a community for the week, sharing tasks such as cooking etc and support each other and have fun together in a very beautiful old farmhouse surrounded by hills and meadows.
This is the 6th year we are holding this course and I am looking for 3 people to help with the course
1  to coordinate a daily meal prepared by the students themselves. You need to know how to cook (and organise a bit) but your role here is to assist the students in preparing the meal , not to do all the cooking yourself. (some will never have cooked , some will be great cooks)
And help a bit generally in the smooth (hopefully) organisation of the course

1  with decent do it yourself and practical skills (no need to be an expert just like doing gardening, building) to help me run daily workshops where students engage in practical gardening, small construction projects etc. You do not do the work yourself but show people how to do it and provide them with the tools and support. I will show you any skills you don’t have but will need and will support you generally and we will be supervising and supporting the students together. Again some mightbe very skilled but others might never have held a tool or implement before.

1  to supervise and practically help in the everyday organisation and functioning. So this could range from carrying out some practical repair, to making sure daily cleaning has been carried out,to helping sort out student concerns, encouraging people to be on time, taking over:filling in gaps in practical roles etc. Again i will be there to support and advise you

As well as your tasks you will have plenty of free time for yourself and for relating to other participants. We will all be part of the emerging community

If you are interested please let me know and we can go into more detail.

If you are interested, you can find out more about the course from http://yesakademia.ong/pressstart/ and about here http://www.osfigueiros.com and can contact me for further details via davewassz@hotmail.co.uk
